How does The Son of God define how to obtain eternal life?
By keeping YHVH God the Father’s Commandments in The Law.
A man came to Yeshua (Jesus) and asked him the way to eternal life in Matthew 19:16-18
So, Yeshua (Jesus) being the smart guy he is goes straight to the Ten Commandments…
And he starts with Commandment 6, then 7, then 8, then 9, then backs up to number 5, then jumps way into The Law of Moses for the last one…
Yes, God’s Son quotes Leviticus 19:18 which says you must love your neighbor…
Yes, God’s ONLY Son says you must keep THE LAW of Moses in order to obtain eternal life (salvation).
It is not an option.
Do you ever wonder why it is in Matthew 19:18 and Leviticus 19:18 both the 19th chapters and eighteenth verses?
Amazing numerical “coincidence”, huh?
So, why did God’s Son skip the first 4 of the Ten Commandments, in his list?
Aren’t Commandments 1-4 important to him?
- You shall have no other gods before Me…
- You shall not make yourself an image to bow down and serve them…
- You shall not take the name of YHVH your God in vain…
- Remember the Sabbath to keep it Holy…
Why does God’s Son not mention these first 4 of the Ten Commandments?
Because, in Israel, it is TOTALLY and COMPLETELY understood that if you do not keep YHVH God the Father’s Commandments you will under no circumstance have any reason to hope in eternal life (salvation). No remote chance, EVER.
And that is exactly what God’s Son says…
And besides, God’s Son also mentions those first 4 Commandments in Matthew 22:37 as being THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT.
THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT(S) get it yet?
And nowhere in all the Bible is it communicated there is another way to salvation other than keeping The Sabbath and all THE LAW of YHVH God the Father.
No where.
God’s Son ends the Bible saying this about His Father’s Commandments:
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who do YHVH’s (His) commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
So, when on earth before he died, and from heaven after he left us, God’s Son declares the only people who will be saved are those who keep The Sabbath and THE LAW of His Father in heaven.
Is that what your church teaches?
Or do they teach against those words of God’s Son?
Why would they deny the words of God’s Son?
Shalom!
PS… Did you happen to notice in his Matthew 19 list God’s Son left out the FIRST and GREAT Commandment?
Well, DUH, is it necessary for God’s Son to spell out every single, little step we are to take BEFORE we take Matthew 6:33 seriously?
Notice Matthew 6:33 comes BEFORE Matthew 19 and Matthew 22.
DUH.
